Skills Training UK is an innovative skills and employability provider offering a joined-up approach to business and economic development and social inclusion. We are driven by the genuine desire to improve the quality of life for each learner, working with employers to develop skilled and productive employees through Traineeships and Apprenticeships, whilst creating employment in the communities where we work.
We are a leading Prime Contractor for the Skills Funding Agency, Education Funding Agency and Department for Work and Pensions, and are the only organisation to twice achieve the ‘Excellent’ score in the Merlin Standard Accreditation – the recognised benchmark for the design and delivery of high-quality supply chains.
We are also an effective subcontractor for other Prime Providers, including a number of colleges. As we deliver Prime Contracts ourselves, we have a full understanding of customer groups, the challenges involved and how to achieve high performance.
Skills Training UK has supported over 250,000 people into work and training since 1992, including some of the most disadvantaged young people and adults. We create jobs that last and sustainable employment which meets local skills needs and supports economic growth.

Our business model is flexible and we are able to scale up for major contracts. Our broad range of delivery currently includes Apprenticeships, Traineeships and the Study Programme. We have a strong emphasis on supporting 16-24 year-olds, as well as adult learners, with innovative delivery which is relevant to employers, Local Enterprise Partnerships and the wider political agenda.
We have the vital expertise to service the ‘gap’ between education and obtaining successful, sustained employment for 16-24 year-olds, providing the right preparation, advice and guidance, employability skills and vocational requirements, both prior to and after employment has commenced.
