Merlin Standard Accreditation - awarded ' Excellent' in 2012 and 2014
Skills Training UK is the only organisation to date to twice achieve the grade of ‘Excellent’ for the Merlin Standard which measures effectiveness of supply chain design, implementation, quality and performance. We achieved 86% in 2012 and 92% in 2014.
As well as robust and highly effective processes, Skills Training UK, says the Merlin Assessment Report, shows a commitment to collaborative working and the sharing of good practice across the supply chain. It has ‘a positive and supportive approach to undertaking business with open, honest and transparent communications’. Partners are kept fully informed and have a clear understanding of expectations at every stage. They have trust and confidence in Skills Training UK’s senior management team and feel well supported in all aspects of contracting.
Provider Assurance Testing (PAT) – awarded grade ‘Strong’ in 2010 and 2013
Following this in depth assessment conducted over a period of five weeks, we were awarded with the highest possible grade 'Strong', reflecting our established risk management protocols, good governance and the added value of our services. We are one of only five organisations across the UK to be rated as Strong.
Skills Training UK was awarded the Equal Opportunities Mainstreaming Leader Award at the World Skills UK Show on 14th November 2013.
We have been accredited with the Matrix Standard since 2007 which recognises providers who are committed to delivering the highest standards of information, advice and guidance (IAG) services. Matrix accreditation has challenging set criteria which are assessed across core themes including Leadership and Management, Resources, Service Delivery and Continuous Quality Improvement. The most recent assessment in 2012 identified a number of key strengths including: ‘Skills Training UK benefits from clear leadership and direction at both strategic and operational levels.’, and ‘A high quality service that meets individual client needs through a mix of practical and pastoral support is being provided.’
Positive About Disability
We have retained the Positive About Disability standard since 2009 which is measured annually and assesses our commitment to the 5 principles of the standard which include managing awareness of disability both for staff and customers, and ensuring that our services maximise opportunities for customers and staff to move into or retain employment.
