Apprenticeships for... Aerospace
Skills Training UK is a leading provider of apprenticeships in the aerospace sector. In partnership with employers, we design and deliver training programmes that directly address individual business requirements – helping to improve the workforce and producing real, tangible results in terms of increased productivity and reduced waste.
Our apprenticeships in Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) have been proven to help maximise productivity, reduce costs, fill skills gaps and improve staff motivation and retention.
At the heart of all our training for the aerospace industry lies the Kaizen approach to continuous improvement – promoting small changes that can make a real difference.
Employees learn about how to identify and eliminate waste, benchmarking processes, how to apply continuous improvement principles, key performance techniques and how to sustain improvements in the workplace.
There are also sessions on health and safety, manual handling and effective teamworking, as well as 5S organisational techniques and auditing procedures.
Outcomes have included the introduction of Lean manufacturing principles, improved data capture, elimination of defects by developing a culture of problem solving and a reduction in variation by making processes predictable and stable through standardisation.
Whatever your requirements – whether you’re looking to improve the skills of your existing workforce or want to inspire the next generation – our dedicated apprenticeship assessors will be with you every step of the way to ensure your needs are being met.
