Apprenticeships for... Pharmaceuticals
Skills Training UK has a strong and proven track record in producing productive, well-motivated employees for the pharmaceuticals industry.
Working alongside our employer partners, we create bespoke apprenticeship programmes specific to their business needs, so as to make an effective and lasting contribution to improved performance.
From helping existing workforces develop new ways of working, through to providing a specific skill set for younger employees – we have the expertise and knowledge to ensure your key business objectives are being met.
Our apprenticeships for pharmaceuticals focus on Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) and address a range of topics to help you get the most from your workforce.
The aim is to enhance workplace efficiency and organisation through the concept of continuous improvement. Employees learn key theories during innovative classroom based learning and then apply the techniques in the workplace. They are empowered to make small but significant improvements which contribute to significant gains in productivity and increased efficiency.
Modules include health and safety, workplace accidents and emergency procedures, the dynamics of teamworking, workplace organisational techniques, problem solving and how to sustain improvements in the workplace.
The second half of the training involves learners identifying and tackling three workplace related projects based around quality, cost and delivery – allowing them to directly address any immediate gaps or inefficiencies within the business.
Examples of improvements include agreeing action plans, safety audits and risk assessments, driving efficiencies through better organisation and changing the way staff think to reduce waste and increase productivity.
