Apprenticeships training for SMEs
Upskill your workforce in line with your business goals
If your business or organisation has an annual wage bill of less than £3m then you do not pay the Apprenticeship Levy.
SMEs co-fund their Apprenticeship training, currently paying just 5% (with the rest paid for by the Government). This is managed through the Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) online account, where you can recruit up to ten apprentices at any given time.
Speak to us for advice and guidance on co-investment and the additional financial incentives available. These include an extra £1,000 for recruiting a 16-18 year-old apprentice or a 19-24 year-old apprentice with additional learning needs or an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan.
If you have fewer than 50 employees, then the Government meets the full cost of Apprenticeship training for those aged 18 and under.
Speak to us for advice and guidance on co-investment and the additional financial incentives available. These include:
- £2,000 for each new apprentice aged 16-24 who starts their contract of employment between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021.
- £1,500 for each new apprentice aged 25+ who starts between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021
- An additional £1,000 incentive for recruiting a 16-18-year-old apprentice or a 19-24 year-old apprentice with additional learning needs or an Education, Health and Care plan (EHCP)
